Audioguided Tours of the Pantheon

As part of the “Oltre la soglia” project, multilingual audio-guided tours are available inside the Pantheon in Rome.

Guided by the voice of our narrator and with insights from Emperor Hadrian, you will discover one of the most spectacular sites in the world, home to illustrious tombs and – having been transformed from a pagan temple into a basilica in the 7th century – still welcoming millions of tourists and pilgrims from all over the world today.

The tour will take you through the Pantheon’s millennia-old history, tracing its evolution over the centuries until its transformation from temple to basilica. The tour will highlight that you are crossing the threshold of a sacred space – a place of contemplation and discovery – where a casual visitor or distracted tourist may suddenly find themselves a pilgrim.
